There are three main steps to access the Teaching Orientation modules:
- Activate your MyID (if needed)
- Set up Duo Mobile
- Log into eCampus (WVU’s learning management system)
Activate your MyID
The eCampus learning management system requires that your MyID credentials be current, so follow the steps below to activate your MyID if needed. If your MyID is already activated, skip to section 2.

Go to
https://login.wvu.edu/self-service and click on Claim Account.

Complete the information that is requested:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Date of Birth
- WVUID Number
- Validation question
- Security question
Set up Duo Two-Factor Authentication
Duo two-factor authentication is an extra layer of account security, besides your username and password. This authentication is required and you’ll be prompted to confirm your identity using the free Duo app, codes generated through Duo, or purchase of Duo display tokens (option if you don't want to use your phone).

Scroll to the Set Up Duo Two-Factor Authentication section to review your options and find instructions for each.
- Set up the free Duo app on your phone, generate Duo codes, or purchase Duo display tokens.
Log into eCampus

Go to
https://ecampus.wvu.edu

Click on the "Login" button.
You will be redirected to a Central Authentication Service login. Enter your MyID and password. Once you authenticate, you will be redirected back to eCampus.

Once logged into eCampus, click the Courses button on the left side of your
screen.

Next, click the Course Catalog button on the top right corner of your screen.

In the Search Catalog section, type " Teaching Orientation" and then click
on Go.

Click on the chevron next to LA.GTA_Orientation_Fall_2023_and_Spring_2024 and
select Enroll. (You have to hover over the text for it to appear).
- The system will take you to a configuration page. Click on the OK button in the bottom right corner.

You now have access to the Teaching Orientation modules and can begin working
on them.
